The new tipi worked great!

I floated the Bitterroot Saturday and stayed over night. I saw a ton of waterfowl (wood ducks too!), deer, swans and even a herd of elk that came down close to the river right at sunset.
Very warm with the stove.

Damn!...looks nice. Were you solo?

How was set up? Looks like a rocky beach...were you able to get her staked no problem?

Yup, solo...set up wasn't too hard. Where I pitched it there was about 4" of sand and then small rocks. I have a set of sand/snow/tundra pegs that came with the tipi. It was blazing! With one of the doors OPEN, it was 150 degrees at the peak, 100 degrees around neck level and 75 degrees a couple of feet off the ground. All taken with a digital thermometer. Very, very sweet!

Burning crappy light drift wood to boot!

That's great. Post a photo of it packed up if it's all dried out.
