Judith River

I don't know a damn thing about the Judith, but a guy I work with floated it and took these photos. It appears to be worth floating someday down the road.

For prosperity sake, when I either buy a canoe or Jr. is ready for some multi-day flat water. Here is the information I got:

You put in off of Highway 81 on the road between Hilger and Denton. The you float 38 miles to Anderson Bridge which is the next crossing. Or you can go another 22 miles to the Missouri, but I guess it is timbered between Anderson Bridge and the Missouri, so there are log jams and therefore portages. No fishing report since you have to float it at high water, and I was told you could get a raft down it at 800 cfs.

I have known a couple of people that have canoed the Judith for a hunting trip. They say it is very good for bigger mule deer and elk.
